I was doing some preliminary planning for my own trip to San Francisco in just a couple weeks and thought I’d share some thoughts that may spur your own ideas.

First off…the weather in San Francisco during IT/Dev Connections 2017 is going to be fantastically amazing!

Honestly…you couldn’t ask for better weather that what is being forecasted and is sort of unprecedented for this time of year. I promise we had nothing to do with planning the weather, but we’ll take it.

Wearing shorts is actually an option, however, since we’ll be in the conference center most of the day (and you know how conference venues like to keep things frigid) you might be more comfortable with jeans. And, looking at the lows and highs, those long pants will also be more favorable for evening events and getting around town. You’ll definitely want to bring a light jacket or sweater for after hours. The hotel is within walking distance to cable cars, Westfield San Francisco shops and Fisherman’s Wharf. If you’ve ever been to San Francisco you know that there’s a LOT to do within a short distance from the hotel. If you’ve never been to the area, you’re in for a treat!

I’m getting excited!

Oh, and by the way – most of you know I’m an avid runner. I’ll be heading out running along the bay most mornings. Its always a bit windy along the bay, so if you get out to exercise in the mornings, make sure to bring along a runner’s jacket. I’ve run most everywhere in downtown San Francisco, so if you need some tips hit me up onsite.
